Jack has started eating solid foods and let me tell you it did not start off well!
His very first encounter with solid foods was so disappointing. We were so excited! I
couldn't wait to get started. I was sure he was ready...he was eyeing
and grabbing our food all the time. I went out and bought his seat, new bibs, and EVERY SINGLE stage 1 choice they sold. We got the camera ready. And this is the reaction we got. :( Sad mommy here!
We started with apples mixed with oatmeal. It actually didn't start this bad. It took him a few tastes to get to that state.

After 3 days of apples, we moved to bananas.
Yep same reaction.
We've since tried almost all of the fruits and vegetables. Things have gotten better and he's now used to the texture. Feeding time isn't always happy...we still get some fussing here and there, but it's MUCH better. His favorites so far are peas, sweet potatoes, and pears! Thank goodness he likes something.

ReplyDeleteHi, I was trolling online this morning looking for photos of a beagle with a baby to bring attention to an article I posted on the Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland website. I used it - and then thought the better of it, should you not want the photo used that way. It is the photo of your baby with his head resting on the dog. It's a sweet picture which suited our needs perfectly. We do get tired of folks getting rid of their dogs because "I just had a baby and can't give my dog the time he/she needs."
